I have put together a draft agenda for the upcoming telecon 10 Sept, 1p EDT.
• Results of the canvass of observer community re: f/5 instrumentation plans - All
• Proposal to council for allocating f/5 science time - All
• Status of new incoming instrumentation – FIRE, PISCO & FourStar - Paul, ASz & Eric
• Results of Preship reviews – PFS & MMIRS - AU
• MagIC status. - Paul
• LDSS3 as an AO instrument/ATI proposal - Laird
• Resolution to declare MagE a facility instrument - Ian?
• Endorsement by SAC for high-speed internet to mountain top - AU
• A Third Magellan Science Symposium – who will host? - TBD
I am slightly appalled at how much stuff needs discussion and doubt we'll make it through all the items. If we could pre-prepare to endorse MagE as a facility instrument and if someone would be willing to host a science symposium, that will speed things along.
If I have forgotten any agenda items please let me know, however the list is already long.
Also, am accepting input concerning my presentation to the Council a week later ...
